From the artist
Burn explores emotion at the moment it becomes physically overwhelming. A fragmented figure twists across fields of turquoise and burning orange, while red and charcoal lines pull the body between tension, exposure, and resistance. The figure is not contained by a stable outline. It appears to multiply, dissolve, and reform as the surrounding color presses against it. Through layered acrylic washes, gestural charcoal, and repeated drawing, the body and its environment become inseparable—each seeming to alter and intensify the other.
