From the artist
I am interested in the immense spans of time held within these mountains, and in the different ways we have tried to understand our place within that time. Geology, San culture and cosmology all feed into the work. Built through intuitive mark-making rather than literal representation, this work presents the landscape as something still being written: an unfinished symphony shaped over millions of years.
